Words from the Graduated
BLYSO fostered my love for music by giving me the opportunity to explore various genres of music. I had the pleasure of playing music ranging from classical to contemporary to even Buddhist music. Through BLYSO, I have gained immeasurable knowledge, opportunities, and skills that I wouldn’t have been able to obtain from anywhere else. I am confident that I will be able to apply these skills in the future, as I venture into the real world.

Being a member of BLYSO was certainly a unique experience. I was taken on a musical journey where I had the opportunity to play music from varying genres while working with musicians from around the world. Throughout the way, I learned skills and established relationships that would last me a lifetime.

Volunteering for BLYSO has been a wonderful experience. Being a part of a group of young musicians who are so passionate about what they do drove me to work hard in my studies and everyday life. I have gotten the opportunity to meet many different people from all walks of life during my time with BLYSO, and have fostered relationships that I’m certain will last a lifetime.

BLYSO was the place where my love for music was cultivated. Through the performance of classical, contemporary, and Buddhist pieces, BLYSO allowed me to explore the world of instrumental music. Ultimately, my experience at BLYSO was one of the many reasons I decided to pursue music at a collegiate level. The people I’ve met, experiences I’ve had, and skills I’ve gained through BLYSO will forever be a part of who I am.
