2026 Summer Music Festival

Date: May 30 & June 6, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM ~ 5:30 PM 

Venue: Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple
Check-In: May 30, 9:30~10:00 AM

Concert: 3:00 PM, Jun 7, 2026 (Sunday) at Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts, Whittier College
* Non-BLYSO members will be selected to perform at the concert. Results will be notified through email after the Festival.

Registration Date: Now till May 16, 2026.

Registration Fee:
Paid on or before 5/3 (Early Birds): $150 (BLYSO members: $120, siblings $100)
Starting 5/3: $180  (BLYSO members: 150)
(Check payable to IBPS)

Requirement: Need to have learned the instrument for at least two years.
Ages: 10~25 years old.
For non-BLYSO registrants, this event is open for strings only, and audition is required.

Event Activities: Sectional Coaching, Orchestra Group Rehearsal, Meditation, Teamwork Activities, Final Concert and more!

** Please BE SURE TO GIVE US YOUR EMAIL, as we will send you the confirmation letter and the packing list after you register.

** Participant Checklist, Participant Liability Waiver, Health History, and Medical Insurance Information form will be emailed to you. Please submit this package to the Information Center in Hsi Lai Temple or mail it to us at 3456 Glenmark Dr. Hacienda Hts, CA, 91745 (Attention to BLYSO, Ven Zhixing) prior to May 2 for early bird registration and prior to May 16, 2026 for regular fee. Registration is considered complete when package and fee are submitted.
